Please Note: The Schedule for the Miami High School Reunion has been changed to a one day event in order to accommodate the majority of those who would like to attend, but have difficulty being able to attend for an entire weekend during the summer.

Minor children will be allowed to attend the entire event, including the evening dance. For those who have already registered, you may receive a full refund if this changes your plans and you are now not able to attend. Welcome Back to the Miami Mens Rec. League. Our 20 game schedule will start hopefully the first week in December if the weather cooperates and will end the last week of March. If there is any schedule changes contact Wes Hill.  We would like to welcome the addition of a new team to our Miami Rec.Hockey league.  The Moose Knuckles have invited us to play in Morden on Friday nights.  The addition of the Moose Knuckles allows us to expand our league to 8 teams. I am still on the hunt for the 8 th team, at the moment the Miami Wolves will cover the extra spot until a team is found.  The Miami Wolves team consists of  Miami players who wish to play more then 1 game a week.

The Entry Fee for each team is $1250.  Each team must pay $800 by Dec. 20th and $450 by Feb. 20th.

Then Entry Fee includes Ice Times, Refs, and Time Keepers.  Any pocket change left over will go towards free pizza and beer at the Chatterbox.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. 2 – 35 minute periods
  2. No slapshots if a slap shot is taken and is on net, the opposition is awarded a penalty shot.
  3. No body contact
  4. No red line
  5. Penalities will be penalty shots
  6. A player with 3 or more penalties in a game will receive a game ejection
  7. No fights, Any Fights or Gross Penalties will be a 10 game suspension and will be reviewed
  8. No Overtime and No playoffs.
  9. No Carded Players, High School, Senior, Junior A, Junior B, AAA Midget are considered Carded.

IF you cannot ice a team on a given night, I will allow players from other teams in the league to help you out upto 10 players on the team.  I don’t want a roster of 15 players and half of those playes are from another team.  Don’t abuse the rule please.

It is Not Professional Hockey, so you will not receive Professional Referees.  Anyone interested in Officiating please contact

Wes Hill.  As refs are hard to find.  Lets Avoid game cancellations, so if you need players to ice a team we have spares.

REFS: It is still up for discussion, in order to keep this league going we need more volunteers for reffing, I may ask  players off of the Miami teams to take 2 nights in the winter to ref.  I may set a reffing schedule as to who is responsible for reffing on a given night.
